Things to do at Ice Factor National Ice Climbing Centre
The indoor ice climbing wall is one of the best facilities for ice climbing in the world. There are 500 tonnes of real snow and ice with a height of 12m and grades from beginner to expert.
If you want to try rock climbing then their state-of-the-art climbing walls and highly experienced instructors will have you scaling the walls in no time. You can try out their rock climbing taster sessions and there is a range of different routes to try out.
The aerial adventure course is a 250m circuit situated 10m above the round. You are secured to a fixed rail yet you feel like you are flying, this course is only for the very brave. Obstacles include a tight rope walk, rickety bridges, swaying climbing features and more. Children aged 10 or under must be accompanied by an adult and they must be at least 120cm tall.
Their indoor soft play centre is popular with parents with young children. The Ice Factor activities are primarily aimed at kids over the age of 7. Younger children will often struggle to learn adequately from instruction. This is free, of charge to customers and has proven to be really popular with parents with younger kids.
