Iken Canoe

Iken Canoe offers river-based canoe hire. They are located next to the River Alde in Iken Cliff near Aldeburgh, Suffolk. You can hire a Canadian canoe to take you to the stunning upper reaches of the Alde estuary. Use of their equipment can be arranged for up to two hours of hire. Their craft are suitable for a wide range of skill levels and they are ideal for a family outing.

To book it is essential that you ring them in advance. As well as providing buoyancy aids, paddles and dry bags they also provide you with a full safety briefing, a map and suggestions as to where you may want to explore.

Iken Canoe is open weekends in April, May and June plus every day in July and August and then back to weekends only in September. Their Canadian canoes are for 2-3 people. 4 is possible with two small children and 2 adults. The recommended minimum age for children is 7.
