Irchester Country Park
Irchester Country Park is located in Little Irchester, Northamptonshire. As well as a 200-acre area of woodland the park is also home to the Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway Museum and Jungle Parc. The Jungle Parc are high and low ropes activity courses for adults and children from the age of 4.
Around the extensive woodland, there is a network of trails. You can bring your bikes and explore the surfaced tracks around the woods. Younger children will enjoy their educational ranger-led wildlife activities. These usually run during term time for preschool children.
If you follow the Ironstone trail you will be able to discover more about the history of the park including coming across the Dragline Viewpoint and the Megalosaurus skeleton in the woods. You can also enjoy orienteering in the forest plus play areas dotted around. The Irchester Railway Museum is open on Sundays and bank holidays when the railway is open. You can discover more about the history of ironstone quarrying at the park and see the steam trains in action.
