Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary is located in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell in Oxfordshire. It is a registered charity and they care for abused and ill-treated donkeys and other animals. They are also open for the general public to visit.

They don’t actively rescue other animals, however, in recent years they have been joined by sheep, some goats, chickens, geese and ducks. They are free to visit and they welcome donations. Donkeys wander around the yard to dogs are not permitted in this area. They are allowed in the front paddock walkway on a lead.

The sanctuary also runs a number of annual events, including themed trails. When the weather is fair many of the donkeys are outside in the fields. You are welcome to walk along the fields where you will be able to see many of their donkeys. They do not allow the feeding of their donkeys.
