Jersey War Tunnels

Jersey War Tunnels

The Jersey War Tunnels are located on the Channel Island of Jersey. They are an underground complex that was built by the Germans during WWII, they now offer tours and have a range of exhibits plus there is a themed Escape Room.

What is there to see at Jersey War Tunnels?

The tunnels provide an insight into what life was really like in Jersey during WWII. The tunnels are the product of five long years of occupation and they bore witness to the cruelty of the Nazi regime. The tunnels were dug deep into the hillside by forced and slave workers from nations across Europe.

There are now over 1,000 metres of tunnels which you can explore, 50 metres deep underground. The imposing cavernous entrance tunnel will take you deep into the hillside. The tunnels were designed to allow the Germans to withstand Allied air raids and bombardment in the event of an invasion.

The museum has a number of exhibits, some are interactive and others relay stories through audio-visual experiences. The Escape Rooms are a real-life adventure game with puzzles and brain-teasing clues. Operation Constellation is themed on a room from the tunnels and children can take part from the age of 10.
