Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park

Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park

Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park near Ipswich is a fabulous place for a family day out, with plenty to do for all ages. There are over 80 breeds of animals. From sheep, goats and guinea pigs, to more unusual and exotic species such as crocodiles and kangaroos!

Things to do at Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park

You can feed many of the farm animals, on your way round (animal feed can be purchased at the entrance). It’s really lovely for children to have the opportunity to get up close to the animals like this and my twins really enjoyed it. Animal petting sessions also take place on the hour, and there are plenty of handwashing facilities as you walk around.

It was lovely and relaxing just wandering around the grounds and spotting exotic animals. The cheeky meerkats were a favourite for us! We also really enjoyed the Outback Safari, where you can stroll around with emus and wallabies in their large enclosure. The Butterfly and Reptile Houses were also really good fun. My children loved watching the crocodiles and enjoyed soaking up the jungle atmosphere while we spotted butterflies.

Wonderwood – The Wonderwood is a huge woodland area. It includes a den-building area which is really popular with kids. You can also follow the Time Walk where you can see statues of beasts that used to roam the woodland years ago.

Play Areas – There are lots of play areas to keep little ones entertained. There is a large wooden playground with a variety of equipment, a giant sandpit, ride-on tractors and a Hobbit House. The big jumping pillow is very popular and our two had a whale of a time bouncing around on it.
