Jubilee Pool Penzance

The Jubilee Pool is a seasonal outdoor swimming pool complex located in Penzance, Cornwall. It is known for its deco architecture from 1935 and it has quite an exotic feel due to its beach location.

It is the UK’s largest and most celebrated art deco seawater lido and geothermally heated pool. Their main pool and learner pools are not heated. They are seawater bathing pools and are usually 1-2 degrees above sea temperature. The geothermal pool is heated to 30-35 degrees. Wetsuits are permitted.

Sessions in the geothermal pool are one hour long. However, bathers are advised to take regular breaks from the pool. It is advised to exit the water every 10-15 minutes to allow your body temperature to return to normal. The geothermal pool is open for most of the year and children must be aged 5 and over to enter the water.

Main pool adults from £6, children from £4.50 and under 4 are free. Geothermal pool adults £11.75, children £8.20. Family tickets are available.

Dog friendly?

Dogs are welcome on their café terrace but for hygiene and water safety reasons are not allowed beyond the kiosk to poolside except for on their designated ‘Dog Day’.
Guide dogs are welcome at all times.
