Lancaster Park and Animal Farm

Lancaster Park and Animal Farm is located in Chadderton near Oldham, Greater Manchester. It is a family-run petting farm with more than 200 animals, spread over 25 acres of scenic countryside in the valley of the River Irk.

Visitors are invited to meet, touch and feed the animals. They have a range of animals, from horses to sheep, to rabbits, chickens and more. There are two play areas with swings, slides and zip lines, these are dotted along a scenic nature walk.

Other activities include a fun caterpillar barrel ride, mini electric quads (£1 a go) and a sandpit area with digger arms. For £1 a go, you can have a go on their Pirate shootout. A real treat is that you can help bathe their giant tortoise. This takes place in the petting barn on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 1 pm.

There is no on-site cafe. You are welcome to bring a picnic.

Tickets are £6.50 per person and under 12 months are free. Prices may differ on event days.
