Laugharne Castle
Laugharne Castle is located in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The castle is located on the River Taf and it was originally established in 1116 and later rebuilt as a Norman stronghold. There have since been many alterations and it became a Tudor manor house in the 16th century.
The castle is now a ruin with a truly picturesque setting. You can see two robust round towers that date back to the late 13th century and some of the curtain walling still survives. The castle is a scheduled ancient monument and is Grade I listed. It is amongst the most substantial castle remains in Wales and is open from spring to autumn.
There is an on-site exhibition within the castle plus an ornamental garden. They host a number of annual events, including medieval history weekends, living history weekends and more.

Free for members of Cadw Wales. Adult admission costs £4.80, children aged 5-17 £3.40, under 5 are free. Other pricing options including family tickets are available.
