Lewis Sports Centre
The Lewis Sports Centre is located in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in the Scottish Hebrides. The centre was first opened in 2004 and it is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a wide range of physical activity opportunities. There is a gym on-site plus a swimming pool and other sporting facilities. The swimming pool offers lane swimming and there is a kiddie’s pool which is adjacent to the main pool. This features a Nessie slide and has a depth of 0.4 metres. Swimming lessons are available at this venue.
There is a Spa which features a Jacuzzi pool, steam room and a spa. There is a soft play area for children of preschool age. Plus a climbing wall for older children. It reaches 10m in height and it has a range of routes to suit all abilities. An induction is required before use and it can be booked for groups and parties.
Other facilities include squash courts, an all-weather pitch, a running track and a games hall. This features 6 badminton courts and it can be split into different areas allowing different activities to take place at the same time.
