Long Cove Beach

Long Cove Beach

Long Cove Beach at Mother Ivey’s Bay is a beautiful and secluded sandy cove, surrounded by rocky cliffs. The beach is located to the west of the town of Padstow, on Trevose Headland, in the north of Cornwall.

The golden sand beach and cool blue waters of the Atlantic make this one of the most picturesque coastal locations in this part of Cornwall. Whether relaxing on the sand or taking to the waves, the beach at Mother Ivey’s Bay makes the perfect location for a day out for all the family.

The beach can be reached by car, or a bus route runs to a stop approximately 1 mile away. However you arrive, the last descent from the cliff top down to the beach has to be made on foot. The effort is worth it though, with the walk featuring sweeping panoramic views along the coast.

The secluded nature of the beach, away from any major towns, means that tourist hotels and guesthouses for staying nearby are limited. There are, however, 2 large holiday park campsites located on the headland, both offering convenient locations for accessing this hidden gem of Cornwall’s north coast.
