Lydiard Park and Jungle Parc

Lydiard Park and the Jungle Parc are located near Swindon in Wiltshire. The park is a beautiful historic estate with a Palladian house, church and walled garden set in 260 acres of parkland. The Jungle Parc is a high-ropes course that has a separate entrance fee.

What can you do at Lydiard Park and Jungle Parc?

There is a wealth of history to be discovered in the staterooms of Lydiard’s house. It is a striking Grade 1 listed house that for 500 years was home to the St John family. There are original furnishings and family portraits that date back to Elizabethan times. Rooms you can see include the main hall, the library, dining room, drawing room and a bedroom with dressing room.

The walled garden is a rare example of an 18th-century walled garden. There are different sections to see with wide pathways, a well and a sundial. The parkland has lawns, woodlands, lakes and pastures with wide accessible paths great for a walk, run jog or bike ride. Walking around the parkland you will be able to see the Icehouse and there is a large playground with a separate toddler area. Both are full of bright and modern slides, climbing and swinging equipment. The park runs family-friendly events, including live music, open-air theatre and cinema.

The Jungle Parc is located in the woods next to the Forest Cafe. There is an adventure course with over 50 different activities suitable for children from the age of 4 (minimum height 1.05m). The price per child is £15 and the time on site is around 2 hours). The other course is their new and very high Xplorer course. This has a minimum age of 10 and a minimum height of 1.35m. The price per person is £25.

Free entry to the grounds of Lydiard Park. A house and garden combined ticket costs £7.25 for an adult and £4 for a child aged 3-15. Under 3s are free Prices for Jungle Parc are listed above. Family tickets are available for the house and gardens.
