Make and Take Ceramics

Make & Take Ceramics is located in the village of Bugthorpe in North Yorkshire. They are a rural pottery studio that offers fun sessions for all ages and abilities.

Booking is essential. They offer 2-hour throwing sessions where you can have a go on the potter’s wheels. This is a great introduction to the craft and includes a demo, instruction and time to practice. It includes 1 finished pot which they will glaze for you, more can be purchased on the day.

They also offer 2-hour hand-building sessions where you can have a go at making something out of clay. You are taught the three basic techniques and no previous experience is needed. Make & Take also runs regular weekly sessions where you can paint a piece of pottery. They can also help you make baby hand and footprint keepsakes. In the holidays they run family sessions.
