Marble Arch Caves are a series of natural limestone caves located near the village of Florencecourt, County Fermanagh. The caves are set in the picturesque foothills of Cuilcagh mountain and they are named after the nearby Marble Arch which is a natural limestone arch under which the Cladagh River flows.
Things to do at Marble Arch Caves
The easiest way to explore the caves is by a guided cave tour. You will explore the underworld labyrinth on a 60-75 minute tour, duration is dependent on water levels in the cave. If the water levels are at the right height you can enjoy a short subterranean boat trip. There are 154 steps in the caves and you will walk a distance of 1.5km.
Above ground, you can enjoy their Virtual Reality Experience. You can explore a labyrinth of cave passages in under 6 minutes all from the comfort of their VR room. Children can take part from the age of 5 and this experience has an extra charge to the admission ticket.
Also during your visit, you could explore the wider area including the Claddagh Glen Nature Reserve. You will be able to see a cascade waterfall and the Marble arch plus woodland and more. This is all accessible from the car park and the walk is 2.5km long.
