Marwell Zoo
Marwell Zoo is located near Winchester, Hampshire. It is a 140-acre zoo which is owned and run by the registered charity Marwell Wildlife. The zoo is home to 1,208 animals of 149 species.
What is there to do at Marwell Zoo?
From endangered Amur tigers to majestic giraffes there is a wide range of animals, to see. Other animals include penguins, meerkats, hippos, rhinos and sloths. Plus zebra, lemurs, red pandas and lots more. It’s worth checking out the feeding times for some of their animals.
The zoo has five adventure playgrounds. Their new bespoke okapi playground was designed to be inclusive and also features a wheelchair-accessible roundabout and an accessible slide. The play areas suit a wide range of ages with play equipment up to the age of 14.
You can get closer to the wonders of the natural world with animal walk-throughs, interactive exhibits and more. There is also a road train which is a non-stop service around some of the zoo. Tickets cost £2 pp.

There is a choice of places serving food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.

Standard entry without donation costs £23.38 for an adult and £19.78 for a child aged 3-16 and under 3s are free.

Marwell Zoo is open all year round except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. For up-to-date opening times and dates please visit their website.
Dog friendly?
Only fully trained assistance dogs are welcome, although, access is restricted in a few areas due to the sensitive nature of their animals.
