Melford Hall
Melford Hall is a National Trust property located in Long Melford, Suffolk. It is a stately home that has been the seat of the Parker Baronets since 1786 and the Hyde Parker family still live there.
What is there to do at Melford Hall?
The Tudor banqueting house is set on grounds that overlook the village green. It is an imposing red-brick mansion. Today you can explore the house that was ravaged by fire in 1942 and then brought back to life as a much-loved family home.
Rooms in the house you can see include the Great Hall, Dining room, Blue Drawing room and Boudoir. Plus the Gallery, Library and two bedrooms, one of which Beatrix Potter stayed in during her many visits to stay at the house with her cousin.
You can also explore a section of the wider parkland. There is a one-mile-long parkland walk that takes in views of the Suffolk countryside with resident cattle and sheep, you may also spot some deer. There are also walled gardens and lawns with topiary.

Free for members of the National Trust. An adult standard ticket is £12, children are £6.00, family tickets are available and under 5s are free.
