Mevagissey Beach
When visiting Mevagissey, you can’t miss a trip to the little beach. More of a picturesque harbour than a sandy swathe of gold, the beach in this quaint fishing village is a must for families on a day trip to Mevagissey.
Accessed from around the south side of the harbour, this tiny pocket of sand ticks all the boxes for castle building and picnics. The best place to park in the village is the Willow Car Park – from here it takes just a few minutes to walk to the harbour.
After your explorations, there are several cafes and restaurants on the waterfront. Head to She Sells for delicious crepes or Sharksfin for seafood. You’ll find the West Wharf public toilets conveniently located just behind the beach too. There’s also a small aquarium, on the harbour wall that is a fun diversion for children.
