Milestones Museum
Museum Overview
Milestones Museum is a living history museum located in Basingstoke, Hampshire. It is a great family-friendly attraction. The museum is made up of a network of streets that have been recreated according to those found in Victorian and 1930s Hampshire. In their life-sized immersive streets, you will find buildings, shops and vehicles as they would have been in olden times.
There are two levels to explore with vintage Thornycroft vehicles, a saddler, ironmonger, milliner and more. They even have a 1940s sweet shop where you can pick up your ration’s worth of sweets or even a pint at The Baverstock Arms.
With plenty for all ages to see and do, there is also a Teddy Bear Museum and a penny arcade. You can stroll along the boardwalk and learn about the history of piers and view traditional seaside scenes. They also host a number of additional activities and events throughout the year.
