Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park is located in Cremyll, near Torpoint, Cornwall. The 885-acre park is open all year round, you can explore the coastline and discover their trails and segway around the grounds.
Things to do at Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park
Indoors you can take a walk through history and explore the ancestral home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. The house is decorated in a classical style and is home to some of the treasures that the family have collected. It was built in the mid-16th-century to a revolutionary design for that period.
You can walk around the gardens with parts dating back to the 16th century. As the families, wealth increased they added to the landscaped park and pleasure gardens. There are a number of areas including a French garden, English garden, Fern dell, New Zealand garden, American Garden, Bee garden and more.
The wider park can also be explored including a 4-mile circular walk, trails and more. There is a wide range of activities on offer. These include an alpaca experience, adventure segway, archery assault and a circus barn. Plus Blue Dot Adventure, a miniature railway, family disc golf, play area and you can also hire bikes and scooters.
