Museum of Lincolnshire Life
At the northeast of Lincoln, up past the castle, you will find the museum of Lincolnshire Life. There is plenty to see there including many historically accurate rooms such as a living room, bedroom, stable, kitchens etc.
What is there to do at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life
They also have WW2 rooms and rooms full of all sorts of modes of transportation including a carriage hearse, penny farthings, tanks, tractors and much more. There are even some old train engines. Don’t rush your visit there as there is lots to read and explore.
Across from the old army barracks, they have lots ofHistorical,ly set up shop displays. Upstairs above the shops, there are more rooms to investigate including an old schoolroom. There is also a playground in the centre of the courtyard with bunkers to run through, a shelter to sit in, wobble boards and much more. It’s a lovely and quirky playground. The museum always has a Children’s museum Trail available to keep younger visitors amused and looking closely at their collection.
There are usually seasonal, alternatives at Easter, Christmas and during the Summer Holiday. Please ask at reception when you arrive and the staff will be happy to explain how to become a History Hunter!

There is a cafe on-site which is super cheap. They sell limited hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to picnic outside.
