Ness Islands Railway
The Ness Islands railway runs in the picturesque Whin Park in Inverness. It is a 7 1/4 inch gauge railway and it is the UK’s most northerly public miniature railway.
Their locomotives take passengers on an exciting journey over 1/2 mile long. First established in 1983 it has been owned and operated by Highland Hospice since 2019. All surplus funds support the delivery of hospice services across the Highlands of Scotland.
The railway operates during the summer months from Easter through to the end of October. Whin Park has four adventure play areas and a boating pond.
