Norfolk Tank Museum

Museum Overview

The Norfolk Tank Museum is located near Forncett St Peter, Norfolk. It is home to a collection of armoured fighting vehicles which is mostly made up of British vehicles from the Cold War.

The collection of tanks and armoured cars are maintained in working condition or are awaiting restoration. Other exhibits include artillery and uniforms and there is an extensive collection of British small arms. There are a number of tanks on display, some of which you can see on display during the Armourfest day each summer.

There is a Saladin Armoured Scout Car which you can climb inside and experience the confined space and atmosphere of the crew turret. The museum offers you a unique hands-on experience with the opportunity, wherever possible, to handle their exhibits. Weather permitting you can enjoy a white-knuckle ride over their off-road course in their Hagglunds BV206 all-terrain vehicle. Plus there is an outdoor play area for children, a picnic site and access to local country walks.

Is there food and drink available?

There is a cafe serving food and drinks (this may be demolished soon for a bigger and better cafe to be built). You are welcome to picnic outdoors.

Adults are £8, children aged 5-17 £4, under 5 are free and aged 0-12 are one child accompanied free of charge.
