Northumberlandia
Northumberlandia is a huge land sculpture in the shape of a reclining female figure. It is located near Cramlington in Northumberland and it was completed and opened to the public in 2012.
The land sculpture has been made out of 1.5 million tonnes of earth, rock and clay from the neighbouring Shotton Surface Mine. It is 34 metres high and a quarter of a mile long. There is a park surrounding the sculpture that is 19 hectares in size.
Around the park there is a woodland trail, both are open from dawn until dusk every day. There are around 4 miles of footpaths on and around the landform.
