Nothe Fort

Nothe Fort

Nothe Fort is located on the Nothe Peninsula in Weymouth Dorset. The peninsula juts out into the sea and is located next to Nothe Gardens and at the entrance to Weymouth Harbour. It was built between 1860 and 1872 to protect the harbour at Portland.

From the fort, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the local area. You can discover a maze of underground passages and secret tunnels including the spooky ghost tunnel.

There is a museum that tells the story of the fort and a parade ground. Plus there are some impressive guns positioned high on the ramparts and fun trails to keep the kids entertained.
