Painswick Rococo Garden

Painswick Rococo Garden

The Painswick Rococo Garden is located near Painswick in Gloucestershire. It is a scenic 18th-century garden with flower and vegetable plots. Today it is the UK’s sole surviving complete rococo garden.

The garden is situated in a hidden Cotswold Valley and it has been restored over the last 30 years to its original layout. They are well known for the carpets of snowdrops in early Spring but they are a fascinating place to visit all year round.

Families will love their maze and rustic play area. There are quirky follies to discover and lots of soft bark paths to explore. They offer trails for 5-10-year-olds with facts and challenges along the way. Look out for the fairytale castle in the woodland glade which has been inspired by Schloss Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria.
