Par is a wide sandy expanse backed by low dunes close to the village of Par, four miles from the town of St Austell. Southwesterly winds make Par Sands a good kite-surfing and windsurfing beach, whilst it’s also a popular dog-walking beach year-round.
There is plenty of paid parking close to the beach and plenty of bins. Sometimes there are a few mobile refreshment vans as well. The large area of sand, especially when the tide is out, makes it a great place for everyone to stretch their legs, or go for a swim.
