Paxton Pits Nature Reserve
The Paxton Pits Nature Reserve is located in Little Paxton near Saint Neots, Cambridgeshire. It is a rich mosaic of wildlife habitats with a beautiful lake, riverside, meadow, reedbed, scrub and woodland.
What is there to do at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve?
It is famous for its nightingales and cormorants and hosts a wide variety of other birds, insects, mammals and flora. The visitor centre is open 7 days a week for you to purchase food to feed some of the birds.
The trust runs events, for children and families giving everyone the chance to get involved with wildlife whatever their age. There are three guided trails around the reserve with maps located at key points including the car park or you can pick up a leaflet from the visitor centre.

Some of the trails and public footpaths are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs and can be accessed using a Radar key, but other sections have squeeze gates, steps and stiles. Please speak to a ranger or volunteer for advice about routes and weather conditions.
