People's Park
The People’s Park is set in the heart of Ballymena, County Antrim. It extends to 45 acres and was donated to the town in 1870. It has a number of facilities.
There is a relatively new children’s play area with a range of play equipment including some massive tube slides. Plus tennis courts and outdoor gym equipment. You can enjoy a walk around the site and it is a lovely place to enjoy a picnic. The five giant apple sculptures are particularly fun and you are invited to touch and pose for photos with them.
The park also has outdoor gym equipment and a pond with ducks to feed and there is a play sandpit. There is also an attractive community garden within the park.
