Inside the museum, there are some amazing objects to see and interactive displays for all ages. Their collection includes over 200,000 items of great and international importance. There is even the original Victorian Operating Theatre where you can learn about the grisly history of surgery.
Kids will love the collection of fossils of Jurassic sea monsters, they can learn more about the creatures that swam in our seas over 150 million years ago. You can also discover the story of the world’s first prisoner-of-war camp that was built 200 years ago. See inside one of the cells and view the intricate items that were made by French prisoners.
You can learn all about the history of Peterborough and come face-to-face with Britain’s oldest murder victim. Other exhibits include a Victorian railway cottage and more.
