Picton Castle Gardens

Picton Castle Gardens are located in Rhos near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. It is Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home and it is surrounded by 60 acres of some of West Wales’s most beautiful woodland gardens and grounds. Also within the grounds is the Welsh Owl Garden and Zoo.
The castle dates back to the 13th century and visitors can join guided tours around the house including its splendid Georgian wing. Kids can let off steam in the adventure playground with a relatively new Jungle Walkway. The real maze is a challenge for all the family. There are nearly 2 miles of paths to help you explore the grounds.
Within the grounds, there is a walled garden plus plants from around the world. You can enjoy walks in the woodland and there is plenty of space to run around. The Welsh Owl Garden has recently undergone a huge transformation. It has doubled in size! There are over 25 species of owls and exotic birds on display plus mammals, reptiles and their famous otter Freddie. Entrance is included with garden admission. They offer a daily schedule of flying bird displays, close encounters with reptiles and otter talks with feeds.
