Posey Pacas Alpacas
Alpacas are such gentle creatures it’s always a pleasure to take one for a walk. Posey Pacas Alpacas is located in Tong near Bradford, West Yorkshire. They run the alpaca walking from their farm and the walk takes you through a woodland area.
Posey Pacas Alpacas review
They currently have three different packages available. It’s a good idea to purchase your voucher in advance, especially if you are buying it as a gift. Posey Alpacas is just a handful of places in Yorkshire where children under 12 can help walk an alpaca with you. This is such a shame as our alpaca clearly adored our son and even went in for a kiss at the end of our walk and when we had to say goodbye. It’s clear alpacas love children as much as they love them.
There are no additional facilities at the site. Our walk was a private family walk with just me, my son and my Mum. The walk lasted for around one hour and there was the opportunity to take photos. Most of their alpacas are rehomed/rescued and ours loved having his neck rubbed.
When you walk with a child you have one alpaca to share with a lead each to hold. We found out lots of interesting information from the staff members who walked with us. At the end, we were given a bag of food and we could feed all of their alpacas.
You can also walk alpacas as a group and have a meet and greet with them for 2 people. All children under 12 are required to accompany an adult.
