Praa Sands Beach

Praa Sands Beach

Praa Sands Beach is a wide, sandy beach which stretches for over a mile. Praa Sands sits 1.5 miles from Kenneggy in West Cornwall and is a great beach for children due to its swathe of soft sand and shallow waters.  The beach is the headquarters of Global Boarders Surf School so it’s the perfect spot to learn to surf. Paddle boards can also be hired for calmer days.

The Sandbar is a beachfront café and surf shop set above the sands. It serves great coffee and a range of meals, snacks and beverages along with surfing bits and pieces. RNLI lifeguard mans the beach daily from 5th May to 30th September, Easter bank holiday and weekends during April

Parking is at a small pay-and-display car park or you can enjoy free parking at the café car park whilst patronising it. Praa Sands is also accessible by foot from the South West Coast Path. A seasonal, dog ban is in place with no dogs allowed from 1st July to 31st August / 10 am to 6 pm.
