Priory Maze and Gardens

Priory Maze and Gardens

The Priory Maze and Gardens are located in Sheringham, Norfolk. This 7-foot tall maze is based on the adjacent ruins of Beeston Priory and has been here since the late 1980s.

The copper beach copies the layout of the priory and the hornbeam infills create the maze. There is no middle to the maze, instead, there is a viewing platform giving visitors a chance to try and find their way out. Due to their sheltered position, there are also 10 acres of gardens to explore with some magnificent plants that aren’t usually easy to grow.

There is the Norfolk Riviera garden, a Fern walk, a Winter garden and the Meadow Stream garden. Plus a Pine Walk where you will find their new playground with a big climbing frame and slides. Children can also try out pond dipping, crawl through hobbit holes and race down slides in the Meadow Stream garden.
