Redwings Aylsham

Redwings Aylsham is a Horse Sanctuary located near Aylsham in Norfolk. It is home to almost 90 horses, ponies and donkeys and is a reasonably large place to enjoy a walk around.

The visitor centre is open from Friday to Monday for most of the year. Entry is free, and they do ask visitors to consider making a donation towards the care of their rescued residents. Popular residents include real-life Black Beauty Maya and the donkey duo Wiggins and Wacko. They have received a Visit England Welcome Accolade for their outstanding welcome. There are lots of characters waiting to meet you.

Are they accessible?

Most paddocks are accessible, although some may be difficult to navigate in adverse weather conditions. The wildlife walk is also primarily a grass track so it can be difficult to navigate. There is a fully accessible, purpose-built stable facility where ponies can be brought in and groomed, there is also a fully accessible WC as well as disabled parking.
