Rendlesham Forest is a vast forest of 1,500 hectares located near Tangham, Suffolk. It is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is a great place for families to visit.
Things to do at Rendlesham Forest
One of the fun things to do is to walk the UFO trail where you will discover more about the famous UFO sighting here in December 1980. This trail is 3 miles long and there is a leaflet available at the forest centre to take around with you.
Another easy trail in the forest is the Phoenix Trail which is also 3 miles long. It starts from the car park and it will take you through conifer plantations, heathland and wetland areas.
There is a Children’s play area with something for all ages. Features include a tube slide, an obstacle course, swings a zip line and more. Play facilities are located throughout the forest near the car park. There are also cycling and mountain biking trails with two cycle routes of varying distance and difficulty.
