Rising Sun Countryside Centre
Rising Sun Countryside Centre is located in Benton near Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. It is a large park of around 400 acres with grassland, woodland areas and a lake.
The site is a haven for wildlife and it is a great place to enjoy the great outdoors. There are extensive footpaths around the park plus bridleways and cycleways, some of the routes are wheelchair-accessible and there are some bird hides along some of the paths.
There is a children’s play area with a water play feature so make sure you take a change of clothes. They also run an events, programme with additional activities.
