Rodbaston Animal Zone
Rodbaston Animal Zone is located at South Staffordshire College in Penkridge, Staffordshire. It is a small college-campus zoo open to visitors with animal encounters and educational activities and it is home to around 750 animals. They are open at weekends and during school holidays.
What is there to do at Rodbaston Animal Zone?
They have around 200 different species of animals, including rare breeds and endangered species. Animals include reptiles, rabbits, birds and more.
You can book animal experiences with the chance to get up close to the animals. They offer lemur and meerkat experiences and you will be able to hand-feed and interact with them. There is an additional cost for this activity. A junior keeper for the day experience is available and there are age limits on the experiences.
They host a number of annual family-friendly events, and they can even host your child’s birthday party. Outdoors there are a couple of basic play areas which are more suited to younger children/
