Museum Overview
The Royal Navy Submarine Museum is located in Gosport, Hampshire. It is a maritime museum situated by the water which traces the international history of submarine development from the age of Alexander the Great to the present day.
On-site you can explore the HMS Alliance which is the only remaining Second World War-era submarine. You can explore the decks and narrow corridors, look through the original periscope and hear the stories of those who once served onboard.
There are other submarines to explore including Holland I and X24 plus photographs, documents, ship plans and other artefacts. There is also an exhibition which follows the Royal Navy’s at-sea nuclear deterrent.
