Runnymede Pleasure Grounds
This is a really lovely park with plenty of things to do to keep you busy for a few hours. It is located near Windsor in Berkshire and not too far from Legoland.
What is there to do at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds?
There’s a decent-sized playground next to the car park which is free, to use. They have plenty of climbing frames, slide, swings, round-a-bouts and see-saws. Make sure you buy some duck food from the on-site shop/cafe to take to feed them down by the river. It’s a really beautiful spot to watch the boats go by.
During the summer months, there is a paddling pool which is also free, to use and is surrounded by a fence. They also have a fair in the summer with paid rides, bouncy castle and coin-operated go-karts.
You can take a ride on a paddleboat from the river. It is run by French brother boat trips and the journey takes about 45 minutes. You pay under £10 per adult and under £6 per child. You can book online in advance and save money. They do not run all year round – please check their website. It’s a very pleasant ride down a pretty river.
