Museum Overview

The Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum is located on the East Cliff in Bournemouth, Dorset. There are some wonderful views of the sea from the museum.

Located in a Grade II* listed building originally known as East Cliff Hall. Building work began in 1897 and the hall was completed in 1901. Inside there are four galleries that showcase acclaimed artwork including paintings, souvenir’s from the original owner’s travels and more.

Outside there are the gardens with a Victorian stone grotto and a fountain. Plus there is a Japanese garden with golf-fish ponds, bridges and another fountain. They run annual events, at the museum including talks, workshops, craft activities and more.
