Rye Heritage Centre

Rye Heritage Centre

Rye Heritage Centre is located in the Strand Quay area of Rye, Sussex. Inside you can discover over 750 years of history. The main exhibition is their Story of Rye sound and light show featuring the famous Rye town model. Work first started on building the model town in 1973. The accuracy and detail of this scale model of the town are quite something to see. Today it is brought to life with an accompanying audiovisual show. The model covers an area of around 15 square metres.

They have a Vintage pier penny arcade with a collection of genuine vintage penny arcade machines. If you pop a pound in the change machine you will then get some old pennies so you can play on their machines. Coming soon is a Smugglers Secret attic attraction. This is an interactive walk-through experience with interpretive displays and exhibits.
