The Salford museum and Art Gallery are located in Peel Park, Salford, Greater Manchester. It first opened to the public in 1850. The museum today is devoted to the history of Salford and Victorian art and architecture.

In the Victorian gallery, you can admire paintings, decorative art and fine art. The gallery is hung to replicate the galleries of the Victorian era. There is another gallery with the largest collection of Pilkington Ceramics in the country. Plus there is another gallery showcasing the work of talented local designer-makers.

Lark Hill Place is a re-created small street in the museum with salvaged features from houses and shops that would have otherwise been demolished. It re-captures past living conditions in Salford in 1918. Kids can dress up here as a Victorian.

They host many family-friendly activities during the school holidays and they often run craft activities.
