Saltwell Park
Saltwell Park is a 55-acre park located in Low Fell, Tyne and Wear. Nestled in the heart of Gateshead it is one of Britain’s finest examples of a Victorian park. The park’sHistorical, and peaceful grounds have earned many awards such as Green Flag and Britain’s Best Park.
There are play areas for the children, a maze and a pet’s corner. You can get active with their walking and jogging routes. Other facilities include bowling greens, tennis and basketball facilities. The lake is a refuge for wildlife and in summer you can hire pedalos, rowing boats and inflatables. At weekends you can often see people sailing their model boats.
