Saumarez Park

Saumarez Park

Saumarez Park is the largest public park on the Island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. It contains a variety of facilities including the National Trust of Guernsey’s Folk and Costume Museum a large children’s playground and a duck pond. There is also a nature trail that links the park with the nearby Coco Bay on the north shore of the island.

The walled gardens are currently being restored and the on-site museum is housed in a cluster of meticulously restored traditional farm buildings. They showcase Guernsey’s heritage with exhibitions covering domestic life, farming, seafaring and more.

The park is free, to visit although there may be a charge to visit during one of their annual events. Other attractions include a Japanese Fishing hut and a collection of plants from the Far East. The play area is big and there is something for all ages to play on with a fun pirate ship and more.
