Scaling Dam Reservoir
The Scaling Dam Reservoir is located near Teesside and Whitby in North Yorkshire. It enjoys a lovely setting within the North York Moors National Park. Over the road from the reservoir is The Sneaky Fox pub with a beer garden, playground and 18 holes of crazy golf.
You can enjoy pike and coarse fishing at the reservoir and it is a great place to go for a walk and enjoy a picnic. You will see some stunning views and there is a pleasant circular walk around the reservoir. There is a wheelchair-accessible section and numerous picnic areas. The full walk is 6 miles so you can choose to walk a distance and then return or walk the whole way round.
Scaling Dam Sailing Club is a great place to enjoy water sports. They offer sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding.
