SEA LIFE Hunstanton
SEA LIFE Hunstanton is an aquarium and sanctuary by the sea in Hunstanton, Norfolk. There are a variety of sea creatures at this mostly indoor venue including penguins, sharks, otters, sea turtles and more. It is a relatively small aquarium and it will take you around 1.5 hours to walk around if you take your time.
There are a number of different zones in the aquarium. The aquarium is home to a seal rescue centre. You can follow the journey of their injured seals starting from local coastal waters, through rehabilitation and eventually their release back into the wild. You can also view some of their seals via an underwater viewing area outside. There are seal feeding and presentations throughout the day. There is the Rainforest Rangers zone where members of staff are ready to show you some of their jungle beasties.
The aquarium has a family of Asian short-clawed otters which you can see, hopefully at play. There is an ocean tunnel that holds 187,500 litres of natural seawater and is home to over 30 different species of fish. Plus there is a tropical reef where you may just find Nemo, an Amazon rainforest zone, an interactive rockpool plus a tank of rays and sharks. Don’t miss Penguin Beach where you can learn all about the Humboldt penguin.
