Seaton Park Aberdeen

Seaton Park Aberdeen

Seaton Park is located in the heart of Old Aberdeen near the city centre of Aberdeen. It lies to the north of the city and is situated on the banks of the River Don. The park is surrounded by historical architecture and agriculture.

The park is one of the biggest in the area and it was bought in 1947 for use as a public park. There are paths along both sides of the river and some pretty well-maintained flower beds on the lawns of one of the park’s main pathways.

In the park is Mr Therm a locally manufactured locomotive that was previously in use at the Aberdeen gas works. It has formed part of the children’s play area since 1974. Wallace Tower is situated at the southern edge of the park. It is a 17th-century building that was formerly located in the city centre but was dismantled and rebuilt at the park in the 1960s.
