Sefton Park
Sefton Park is a historic park located in South Liverpool, Merseyside. It is around 235 acres in size and is Grace 1 listed plus Green Flag and Green Heritage awarded site. It is situated in a district of the same name.
In the park, there is a large playground with swings, slides, climbing frames, a roundabout and a multi-play area. There is also a Palm House with a historic collection of plants from around the world. They run a number of events here including children’s holiday activities.
Around the park, you can find caves and waterfalls including ‘Old Nicks caves’, a beautiful fairy Glen and an aviary viewing point. There are also a number of statues and monuments in the park including the Shaftsbury Memorial, Eros Fountain and a Peter Pan statue. There is also a bandstand that is said to be the inspiration for The Beatles’ song, Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club band.
