Shepton Mallet Lido

Shepton Mallet Lido is an outdoor heated swimming pool open during the warmer months of the year. It’s tucked away off a residential street in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

The pool dates back to the 1950s and it was extensively refurbished in 2006. It is warmed using recycled heat from the Brother’s Cider factory next door. The main pool is 25 metres long and its depth ranges from 0.9m to 2m. There is also a toddler pool which is 12 metres in length ranging from a shallow depth to 0.8.

As well as the swimming pool there is also a children’s splash pad with fountains and water jets, outdoor table tennis and a small play area. They also run family splash sessions with floats and inflatables. There is a grassed area with decks and picnic benches for enjoying time in the warmth of the sun. The lido can be hired out privately including for birthday parties.
