Shorne Woods Country Park
Shorne Woods Country Park is located in Gravesend in Kent. There are 288 acres of woodlands, lakes, wetlands and meadows plus marked paths including some well-surfaced routes which are great for those with pushchairs or who are in a wheelchair.
Around the site, there are three fabulous adventure play areas. As well as waymarked trails for walking that also have a combined horse and cycling route plus trim trails and outdoor gym equipment. A permanent orienteering course is also available at the park for everyone to use and Geocaching is also popular in the park.
There is a volunteer garden and two lakes for fishing (a rod fishing licence is needed). There is an award-winning eco visitor centre which has a cafe, outdoor kitchen with a log-fired pizza oven and information about the park.
